Re: Poor running
No new one, just a big one from last year. I'll drop the mk2 one on and try itfallenmikethebike wrote:The expansion pipe hasn't acquired a new dent lately has it? Or the exhaust system altered in some manner?

Re: Poor running
It's this midrange misfire that's the odd conundrum. Unlikely to be fuel related as the main jet was altered and no discernible difference was apparent. So, it's more than likely one of the following, coil, lead, HT cap, field coils, or pick up coils. The magneto's not been disturbed of late has it...

Re: Poor running
Some very swift analysis of my ECU by Mike (MTFB) and the ECU is OK (phew, that has saved me a few £££).

Re: Poor running
I agree with Mark, but replace the reeds anyway. Just to get it straight - 'Is the PV servo still messing around?' Not now. Mike thinks similar to you and the dredded ECU is a possible. I spoke to my engine guy today, told him what I had changed and apart from reeds he said the generator or pick up...

I have it if its worth fitting, seems like a lot o hassle to fit it with the CRM`s electrics behind the cowl? anyone else used one of those? should I persevere? and modify the bik...

Re: Poor running
Kev (Stumpy) at LT has suggested the reeds. The one's I have are the origonal one's and are 18 years old. Me thinks inspect them and see if they are worn at the edges.

First trail bike up to 250cc and 2nd trail bike (someone on an XR 400 beat me by 4 seconds), 26th overall. Sounds like a good result considering the running problems but dissaponting for me. Still, depeding on how they spilt the trail class, I'm either leading my class, or second. Video of the speci...

Re: Poor running
Well, I know it is not the power valve sero or the jets. Both changed and the problem is still there so coil next, then maybe the stator (as it is easy to change) then onto the wiring as suggested and last the ECU. LT said £428 for a new one so a repair might be the answer especially as its a tad le...

Agree on both counts. If its the ECU I'm stuffed as I don't have a spare Mk3, only one off a mk2helisupp wrote:Remember the golden rule:
