Re: New MK2 owner in need of help
+1 Mike. Hi MFerioli- Luckily Japan has pretty much all the spares you will ever need (even if they are expensive). Your first task is to get the correct mixture setting and oil setting. -If you find this does not work, then you know that it's probably something else (like a seal leak). Do a plug ch...

Re: Hi folks
Hi Mammoth & welcome. Think it the chain guide looks OK- probably just because you have it up on the ramp and the swing-arm is hanging that it looks like it needs dropped down. I am running a 14/51 tooth set of cogs, so my chain protector definitely wouldn't fit without lengthening it. Nice clean lo...

Yup- I used a Dremmel hand drill with a porting tool, grind stone and wire brush attachments for most things.

Re: Isla Formosa
Plates, no plates, no indicators, no helmet- it really doesn't matter- the cops will still try to nick you and screw you over for a bribe!! All folks here are technically limited to 175cc scooters (so the coppers can catch you on their CM250's or bigger 750's). They didn't factor in guys like us, wh...

Re: Isla Formosa
Yes- very few 2 strokes here & mostly thumpers- WR's, CRF's etc. Nam is a crazy place to ride- the roads are a nightmare, but the jungle, mountains & forests are fantastic places that few people ever get to see- it takes me about an hour and 2 ferry journeys to get to my nearest greenery and always ...

Head of Science here in the British School- got lots of choice where to work, just want to make the right decision when jobs start turning up. There is a nice school in Taiwan called Taipei European School that I was considering....but I have a few others up my sleeve too- the riding has to be a hig...

Hello Dave, Considering Taiwan, HK or Thailand for my next job in August- currently in HCMC, Vietnam and finishing of a 4 year stint and riding a '95 Mk3 myself. A lot of local lads and expats ride out on the weekends here and we have a couple of tracks just been built. The CRM is well suited to the...

Re: Throttle cable part No Mk3
Great fishy- if its good and fits the Mk3 then could you get me one?? I desperately need one, as my throttle keeps sticking 'full-on'!! Not good. I did think it was odd that they don't deliver to Nam, even though we but-on to China and have mostly Chinese living here... I can either paypal you the m...

Re: Throttle cable part No Mk3
Tried to buy the 55.00Y CRM 250 throttle cable, but the website is awful (even when translated) and it doesn't seem to accept my credit card, or delivery to Vietnam.. Any advise fishy??

Re: Mark 3 radiator pipe routing.
Your radiators look bent out of shape fishy!! Good idea to degrease & jet wash out all the crud inside and ouside them. I just connected the pre-warmer outlets with a spare bit of tubing, so it goes out of one and into the other- genius!! Just block off the carb nipples. Be careful not to get an air...

Re: looking down the cylinder barrel
Those scratches are horrible fishy and your piston rings were leaking too- get the damned thing rebored!! Its a bloody mk3- I can see the steel liner in the picture!! If possible go for a lighter & stronger PROX or TRX piston (this will need different bearings & gudgeon pin and clips), but a much be...
