Re: Replacing fork seals
Just followed your write up Slider.
Great job thanks for taking the time to write it.
Didn't take too long to drain the oil as there was next to nothing left in the one side
This was the first upside down forks I have worked on so it made the job far easier than I had expected.
Once again Thanks

Re: Rear wheel bearings
If the wheel bearings have gone you should be able to feel some play when you grab the wheel at 12 and 6 O Clock and try to twist it side to side. If there is no play I would leave them alone but if I was keen I might try to tease the seal back and add some grease. The whine may be coming from the k...

Re: today was not too nice:-(
one of those pics looks like the route from - hmm hard to describe but bear with me, there is a route over to llanarman from between llanrhydd to graigfechan. coming into ruthin from mold, turn left after the anchor for graigfechan, follow the road and it breaks away left after a couple of mile whi...

Nice one Gwyn.
I also suffer with lane constipation, I've found I just can't pass one.

Re: today was not too nice:-(
Had a good ride out today Steve. I never fell off for a change but I did ride like a big girl down some ice covered rock steps and one of the barstewards with me videoed it  It was very cold when we set off and on much of the route the ice did not clear. The back roads were worse than the unta...

Re: Bar raisers
Ditto Slider. Renthal Dakar high bars approx £33 mine fitted with no problems with cables. Loosen the clamp, slide the bars to allow the clutch to slide off, then slide back for the throttle and brake. Your biggest problem will be getting the LH grip off the bars. I've been lucky in that the two bik...

Re: Today was Too Nice
That's some ford crossing that is.
Admin. I suspected as much but got a bit agitated for a while because, after trying various options, one had worked and I could not remember which.

Re: Today was Too Nice
A much better description Gwyn  One thing I am confused about is that an earlier post initially only showed a link but then showed the photo :? The bike is now running far better, it's still not 100% on the carb front but there are only slight flat spots here and there. It's so much fun to ride...

Re: Today was Too Nice
It's linked to photobucket. The photos are in my album on photobucket and have 4 boxes underneath them. I copied the img one into my post. I had tried it before and it did not work. The admin suggested changing bbcode so I found a box in my settings on this site and ticked it. I am really sure that ...
