To anyone that has done the NSR wheel conversion...

...I need help. It strikes me that I am missing a bit from the rear wheel as when I offered my sprocket up to it there is nothing to bolt to, even though I expect to have to frabricate a sprocket holder. All I have is 5 rubber mounted holes. Am I missing the Cush Drive assembly? Would be grateful if...

Hi Simon, How is mine looking?! Still looks like a CRM Motard but without the road wheels! Im ashamed to admit that all I have done is offered up the rear wheel (just needs a couple of spacers and 'only' a sprocket carrier) and the front wheel which looks like a big piece of work to be made to fit, ...

Well so far I have done nothing with my wheels!

I am a lazy sod...

My garage however, now looks like a proper workshop and is exceptionally clean and tidy :-)

Time to get my backside into gear!

The balance shaft can be removed and visually inspected with the engine in the frame. Im sure its posted elsewhere on here as I cant remember whether the clutch basket has to be removed or not to do so.

Mark, Just an idea - are you sure the throttle slide is closing properly? Its just that it sounds like everything is fine until you open the throttle and then it goes mad, so it has to be part of the system that operates once the throttle is opened and doesnt close again. Are you sure it isnt the th...

Hi Radish, I have seen this before on my mates mark1 and he spent a long time going through everything, the carb, accelerator cable until... ...looking at the power valve - it had become gummed up because he was running it on a low quality oil. Thanks,

It looks like im going to have to spend some time stripping the front and back ends down and doing some measuring up. I have a full set of plans, thanks to The Flute and the full use of a lathe and a milling machine if I feel confident enough to do it myself, which i dont.

More later...

Locating the rear caliper

Guys,

Does the rear brake caliper need relocating when going for the motard conversion, bearing in mind that we I will be going from an 18\" to a 17\" rear wheel...?

Cheers.
