Re: CRM250SMR (using CR250/YZ490/KTM250SX internals)

ordered the Zeeltronic Powervalve controller. So I will be using the ignitech ignition for spark duties only now, and will use the zeel for PV operation as the ignitechs PV operation was faulty. All up $140 AUD inc postage (bout 100 pounds?) http://www.zeeltronic.com/page/ppv-rz.php Im also looking ...

Re: CRM250SMR (using CR250/YZ490/KTM250SX internals)

cylinder is back looks great! just going to try some new porting techniques while I wait for the new power-valve controller to turn up. We got these techniques after studying an Aprilia RSA125 cylinder. allows you to boost top end RPM and HP without effecting bottom end. This technique can be applie...

Re: Just bought crm 250 project! Need some advice please guys

get the shock bebuilt with additional dampening and a slightly stiffer spring (KTM springs from the WP dirt bike shocks fit nicely)

get the forks serviced and rebuild or consider the CR fork mod.

Re: CRM Reliability

100,000km on an FZ6 yamaha, it had its 32000km major service and then just changed the oil and filter each year after that. sold it to a mate at 100,000km and he got the valve clearances done the year after and its still going very strong :D as for the CRM, mine was used and abused. I think it had a...

Re: CRM250SMR (using CR250/YZ490/KTM250SX internals)

never a failure :) cylinder is currently in the USA getting re-plated and a new Wosner piston. just had the powerjet programmed wrong so it cut the fuel supply at high rpm instead of the other way around so it leaned out on me, everything else is a success on the bike. should have her up and running...

Re: DT200WR versus a CRM250?

there are many things that could be killing your bikes top end power. your piston/rings may be old? check your compression clogged air filter clogged exhaust and silencer fouled plugs jetting (your main jet controls the top end fueling, so when you check your plug, clean it and put it back it, ride ...

my wait was over 90 days ! got the graphics eventually and the quality was great. I think they would have alot more happy customers if they were just honest about the waiting periods. If they told me it would be 10 weeks. I would have still parted with my money and I would have been a much happier c...
