Re: Balance shaft replacement (AR)
Sounds great, quick job, did you get crank checked out for any mallet damage, good that you can do it all yourself. Its amazing how expensive parts actually are: Imagine how much it cost to rebuild my spare engine which I keep in storage (all full of oil). All gaskets New crank New top end New clutc...

Re: Balance shaft replacement (AR)
That will get the crank out, but if the bearing stays on the crank its a different tool. I just pop down to local motorcycle workshop and give them a fiver, I found its not worth paying out so much money for a toll that will be used only a couple of times. Plus they have a press and other tools I ma...

Just make sure you route the brake line behind your fork, or you will snag something in the rough.

Re: Balance shaft replacement (AR)
A new one was not expensive when I last bought one from LT.
They must have them in stock, or they may now exchange them as S.E.P. Repair them.

Re: Balance shaft replacement (AR)
Knackeredmk1 has a tool for bearing removal, it's on one of his posts.
I suppose he would rent it out for a couple of quid ( deposit read).
Can you let us know if you do still have the tool knackered

Re: Gaskets
Precisely.
Cable suppliers can supply the cable and nipples for next to nothing.

Re: Gaskets
So, have they just sent you a piece of wire with 2 nipples.
Re: Gaskets
Its impossible to put an original inner in an outer, unless they are providing the nipples to solder on one of the ends.
Hopefully your outer cable is in good condition, cut off old inner and replace with new, please keep us up to date.
Anyone else bought one of these cables from LT.........

Re: Gaskets
Just make sure you order the right part numbers...................they can accidentally give you AR cables, (which are a different to MK3).
