Re: Kielder K2 Rally
Sad to hear that Tony, +1 get better soon. Will the injury have work repercussions :?: Mike No, the main problem is that unless the main cast (that goes on tomorrow) is plastic, I won't be able to go on the shop floor and I will have to work from the office. My direct boss rides a bike and the UK s...

Kielder K2 Rally
K2 Rally tomorrow with me and 644Andy competing. Weather forecast is good and I've decided to do the event on the mk2. The Mk3 is almost back together but will need running in and this event is mostly fire road so the suspension on the mk2 should cope well. I just hope Andy is not a young pup from a...

Re: Power compared to a CRF250
Just got a CRF250X nice bike, but if my CRM is supposed to put out 40 bhp compared to a CRF250`s 30 or under! then my CRM is definitely sick, posted here before but it just runs out of steam top end! now I have compared another supposedly lower power bike I know the CRM just doesn`t give anywhere n...

Anyone interested in riding a circular route from Downton just South of Salisbury, Wilts, to Shaftsbury then back up to Salisbury & down to Downton? Ancient drover's route's some deep boggy bits but you can skirt those if needed. Probably about 5hr round trip including coffee/lunch at Compton Abbas...

Pikes peak Rally Sprint
Round 2 of the UK Rally Challenge in Mid Wales last Sunday. A grand total of yours truly in the trail class so as long as I finished it was 20 very easy points in the bag. Well, like a true nutter, I gave it my all and got faster each lap (until he last lap when it rained as only it does in Wales) a...

Re: i fitted 1990 CR 250 forks to my CRM 250 AR today
You can fit CRF 250 forks (2005 onwards) in but you need to get the whole front end, then put the CRM post into the CRF yokes and you need a bush for each yoke - made by someone who knows what the are doing with limits and fits. The brake fits as long as you have the CRF hanger. In standard trim you...

Re: Arj256 - Mk2 Restoration
:D Well ARJ, not only does your post describe the usual litany of faults to be found on any 20 year old bike used for unsurfaced riding, [ not just CRM's] it's also a pretty damn good synopsis of what's needed to get another 20 years of service out of the old girl, well done. Mike Looks just like m...
