Chris, What is the "battery eliminator". There is no battery on a CRM so what is being eliminated?

I have a Mk3 but am wondering whether you have fitted the front of the seat correctly. There are two rectangular loops on the sub frame into which two "protrusion" on the seat base fit. If the seat base is sitting on top of these loops then it could result in the gap....
