Hursty. Have you tried http://www.way-finder.co.uk/ .
Register free, and then download "Track explorer".
Takes a bit of getting used to, but you can find any legal lanes, anwhere in the UK. :D
Also, any lanes you use, entering the details in "user evidence", helps to keep the lanes open for the future :D .

Hursty. H+H are a great laugh  . I did one a few years back on a crm ar.
The only problem i had was the rads kept getting clogged with grass and mud, and had to keep cleaning them. Oh, and take plenty of water, cause you can de-hydrate very quickly.

No matter how bad you think youl do in a h+h you will always find theres a lot there not as good as you.Drink lots of fluid upto 3 days before, make sure you have a drinks pack on ,and a couple of red bulls does the trick.i also take ibuprofen to keep the blood thin ,{stops arm pump}Also carry spare clutch and brake lever,My first h+h i thought sumet was wrong when i overtook about 20 riders in first few mins.i was expecting to be left behind.

had a look at way-finder earlier, do other members use this service ? i saw gwyn's profile but a lot of other users looked to be 4 x 4 users?
Or is TRF the option of learning which lanes are legal, or is it just down to good knowledge of local lanes.

Trebor. 4x4, Motorcycle or Horse and cart. Way-finder is a great resource as we can all enter \"user evidence\" after using a lane, to hopefully keep our lanes open for the future. I personaly don't want to spend my time off road, limited to moto-x track's (though, they are great fun). Local knowledge and a bit of work on the Net, will keep you informed as to where, and where you cannot ride, walk, or drive legaly.
Hope this helps. Gwyn.

its very confusing in it.you could try approaching local council, but even there not much help.im sure o/s maps should be updated by now so thats best bet.the the easy way is to join TRF and get to know the routes that way.
