Hi, does any body know of any places to use in Cheshire / Northwich area. The bike is taxed and tested so travelling is no problem. I know of two places near by but the are usually busy and they only allow so many people on at one time. If i have to go further a field than Cheshire I can get hold of a trailer.

Thanks

Lee

live in frodsham, but apart from delamere late at night there is not that much round here. when i had my AR i used to frequent the horseshoe pass in llangollen, nowadays its only the RC30 that takes a spin up there

Cheers for that Admin

I have the Exup RU for a road bike and love it round Wales.

Try the Macclesfield --- Matlock Bath ---- Sheffield --- Glossop run, the A6 isn't as good now due to all the speed cameras but still a good days run.

Thanks

Lee

Lee, rode my little RGV250SP VJ23 upto matlock bath a couple of sundays ago for breakfast, bit foggy up on the fiddle, but cleared up nice later. Not really been too keen on the fiddle, damn dangerous and full of wankers at weekends pushing thier luck on bikes that they just cant handle.
I tend to stick to wales (regardless of the police horror stories) as my parents and GF live in ruthin so its dead handy to pop in.
If your up for a blat out over to the ponderosa one morning give us a shout, know the roads quite well and have some interesting plod free routes. just the thing for the exup. This sat may be out though as i will be overhauling the carbs on the RC30 to stop it stinking of petrol and pissing itself into the bellypan (£100 per carb - ouch) should be ripe for a test on sunday if dry (RC doesnt do rain) but if a bit damp then the old failthfull 916 will be up for it mate

Admin you have too much time on your hands you jammy get, the RU sees daylight once or twice a month if i am lucky. The carbs sound expensive to overhaul don't think i`ll buy one of them. :D . Must be good to have a pit stop half way round (TEA & BISCUITS) or greasy bacon ?

Hope the weather stays well for the RC

Thanks

Lee

Mate it can be expensive to keep on the road, most of the parts are still available but many are either gone or superceded with HRC bits which can be painfull. i think honda go by the idea that if you have a RC30 then you can afford to pay for the bits :(
its getting on a bit now with 14,000 on her and 15 years old so little bits are starting to perish / fail so it really deserves to be kept spot on with so few left on the roads.
To ride it is a real gem, feels far from 15 years old and does everything far better than the 916 and is almost as quick up top as my old RRX blade but handles and stops (and sounds) much much better.
Still love the strokers though and am missing my AR and starting to regret selling it after all those years even if i didnt use it.
Will PM you with my number if your around frodsham or fancy a pint to yak about bikes sometime.
