liiving in Warrington, i am a fair distance from greenlanes. I have found a few places in st.helens to ride.
The latest place I been riding is manchester off the A57 underneath Barton bridge.
quite a large area where a number of vans with bikes can be seen most weekends. this is a good place to ride as its away from any houses............hopefully the Police will continue to turn a blind eye.
there have been reports on the news recently of manchester police crushing illegal offroaders.......but I think they are mainly targeting underage kids who ride anything they can get there hands on around the estates where they live causeing a nuisance and danger to residents. :x

Hi madmanreevo i live in northwich and have been up to Buxton a few times now. If you know where High Edge Raceway is there is lots of green lanes around there, some easy and some ****ing impossible. Head out into Goyt Valley and there is a track straight into Buxton and one down to the reservoir. I have ordered a ordnance survey map of Buxton area so i can mark up the trails, there are plenty of gates to open and close not many walkers up there just a case of being polite to others. :)

Will let you know when i have more info for you.
