it looked a lot of fun, but very daunting to a beginner like myself,
{perhaps i should consider something with elec start}
although i don't really want to go down the \"orange\" route

but saying that had one of those chaps been on a CRM, he'd of flown up that loose shale, wouldn't he :?:

i wish :wink:

that first lane has had work done, untill reacently whare that big mound of poo is theyre trying to get up, were some pretty scary stone steps you had to do a wall of death around the bank on the left , to get past them,then there was another set and a 90 deg left turn, looks like it,ll be a few years before well see them again! the last lane is stannage edge(with the big boulders) thats a grueller but very rewarding! ace video what sort of money are those action cam jobbies macey?

hi rooster,

it looks fun to say the least...complete opposite end of the peaks from me tho!!

heres a cam.. its th enew one with 2gb card ie, over 2hrs recording at max quality.

only down side to the cams is the requirement for lithium batteries in cold weather at 6 quid for 4!. normal batts just die in 5mins.

cheers macey! a couple of weeks saving up should do for one of them suckers, what do you recon of them as regards ease of use etc, would you trust it in a downpour? or if you dropped it on rocks , is it tough?

the atc 1000 isnt waterproof, but the 2000 is ..or at least very splashproof.

as for ease of use..yes man,.a doddle,, bit fiddly with thick gloves on but not a major issue.

quality is good for what it is and the price..you can go and buy a camera, batt packs and a camcorder and get proper movie stuff, but my opinion is that the atc2000 will do the job nicely and alot cheaper!!!

good luck!

cool video. Just goes to show that '000's spend on orange technology doesn't mean you're going to get it easy. Lanes look like good fun though, might have to saddle up the van and give my newly acquired AR a test out, see if I can break it! :lol:

It isnt the bike - its the rider. Spending 4K on a bike does not automatically make you a dirt-biking god!
