Boats in lancashire

I contacted the local rights of way officer the other day regarding the definitive map and local legal trails. She told me there are only about 30 miles of boats in lancs. Then she offered to send me copies of the relevant sheets of the definitive map which she did and she even highlighted the lanes. What a top lady. She also sent me details of a fellow officer who deals with unclassified county roads of which some are unpaved. So he's next on the list. The mist is starting to clear a bit regarding where to go offroad in Lancs but its bloody hard work. All I want is a few local lanes I can hit for an hour or two in the evenings through the week rather than loading up the van and heading to the dales. Any help with local knowledge would be great.
