Had a great day out with FMtB yesterday. Quite a bit of Hampshire, and a big lump of Surrey, 180kms of Byways and Rights of Way. There is a lot in Hampshire we did,nt touch, so it,s got me thinking, if we badger him a bit I,m sure he would sort out a ride out one weekday when there,s not many walkers, horse riders, and 4X4s about.

I used to live in Hants mostly near Odiham. Loads of lanes. Glad you had a good day :D .

When I was 21 I had a job crop consulting as work experience and was told I could have a small 4x4. Said I would prefer a motorbike and was given a new MTX125. In 8 months I did 12,000 miles, a huge amount of that off road. Had over 24,000 acres of farms to cover :!:

Needless to say it was a hoot and I learned everything I know :D (and have forgotten  ).

Must get down sometime - especially as inlaws live in Surrey.

:D Yes, after the confusion over the meeting place, Mike doesn't know his happy Eater from his Little Chef,ho hum  , and a slow start with orientation problems, [ must put glasses on :( ]we eventually got into the groove and racked up some good riding, and as Kev says , Weekdays are just paradise.
By the way old chap, are you able to sit down now ;) I left Kev , he was complaining about his Derrière.
Wouldn't want that advertised to widely, a day out with Mike leaves you with sore chuff.

:D I don't mind taking a group out, but I am tied up for a while, so i will post up a future date.
Would people prefer a mid week ride, with the emphasis on riding?
How much notice of a mid week date do people require.
Although my knowledge of Hampshire lanes is improving, it's not exhaustive, so some patience on the map sections may be required

You boys are sooo lucky in NI we don't have any legal byways I think that everyone who rides off road in NI does so slightly illegally.
