:D Hi Matt, welcome to the site.
I'm based in Surrey, and like to get out as often as possible for some Green Lanes.
I would however recommend investing in a Trail Riders Fellowship [ TRF] membership.
This is my local branch,
http://www.surreytrf.org.uk/,
There is a retired member who only goes out midweek.
And don't let the "retired " bit put you off, Ron keeps up a reasonable, but relentless pace, that also doesn't upset our numerous anti's.

Hi Mike

Surreys looking good for me, i work weird times though and generally week days are better for me and i guess bit quieter out on the lanes as well.

Ill have a look into TRF ill see where my local one is, ive bought some OS maps for essex/luton areas as they are quite close to me and seem to be worth a look..

Im hoping i havent completley forgotten how to ride off road as its been a few years (7-8) since my last green lane bike so my pae is going to be fairly slow i reckon

Just got a few little bits to sort out and then id def be up for a ride, are weekends better for you?

Thanks

Matt

A lot has changed in the time since your last bike.
OS maps can no longer be relied upon, as most are now out of date, post,NERCa 06.
My riding habits tilt towards the spontaneous, so, generally not planned to much.
I always leave the bike ready to roll, and quite often wake up and decide to go out for a ride.

I got myself some new maps of areas above london and im amazed how few green lanes there are these days!

When i last rode there was a lot more available but nevermind got a van and wales is only a few hours away.

Once ive got a bit of time to ride ill pm you and see if your free

:( You might be a bit disappointed there as well, huge amounts of lanes now know longer legal to Trail bikes.
