proposed Byway closure - Northumberland
Can I ask as many people to write a letter of objection to a proposed byway closure in Northumberland please?
The byway is byway 22 at Bingfield East Quarter in Northumberland. It is north of the A69 and east of the A68. It was a UCR and made into a byway. The landowner contends there is an alternative route (tarmac) and has asked the council to colse the route to vehicles - we upset his rare breed livestock. Letters need to be in by the 3rd June. you can use the letter below or a modified version. Write as an individual and send me a copy of your letter please to
row AT northumbriatrf.net
Thanks,
Tony

Dear Sir,
Re: Application by Northumberland County Council to stop up the public highway known as BOAT 22, Bingfield East Quarter. Tuesday 7 June 2011.
I use this highway and oppose the council’s application to stop-up public rights. Although I am objecting as an individual I may ask that my objection be heard as part of the case put to the Justices by my colleagues in the Trail Riders’ Fellowship, Mr Tony Whitehead and Mr Alan Kind.
Yours faithfully,

Copied the post on to the West Yorks TRF forum. Would be helpful if there was an alternative email address to write to instead of letter?
