Picos De Europa
Anyone know about the legal aspects of riding in the Picos?

Re: Picos De Europa
Got back last night having done 4 days riding, one of which was to watch the moto piston 5,000 curves run (classic bike stuff). My mate fell after 30 minutes and bust a rib but being a hero he kept going to show us some cracking trails. Not sure it was all legal, but wow, probaby the best string of 4 days riding I have done. The only down side are the sheer drops when you are 4,000+ feet up. We got as high as 6,000 feet near to Pena Sagra. If any of you get the chance to go, you will be mad to turn it down.
The Mk2 performed to its usual high standard and coped more than adequately with the terrain. We went "off piste" a couple of times taking the wrong turning but with so few people about and a bike friendly country it was heaven.

Well done, I'm quite envious.
In TBM, there was a review of a run from North to South through Portugal, one of the riders is thinking of making an event out of that, which should be amazing.

Re: Picos De Europa
I don't see any reason why a well fettled CRM shouldn't be able to complete such a trip.
As I have posted before, with some leggy gearing the fuel economy can usually embarrass four bangers.
