Tseun Mun ride yesterday

Post by fishtail » 20 Aug 2012, 02:55

there was a large group yesterday - but when the soldiers moved on to the shooting range for their exercises we were evicted! only just got there... honestly a bit relieved as the route was too technical for me! when you have 20 - 30 or 40 meters of steep incline it gets tough!

so the advanced riders went on a an up hill stream ride.. I saw the bottom of it. and wasnt the only one who didnt fancy.. so 4 of us went off in search of easier trails..

you can see those here.. actually I wished I did have a vid camera with me - as I ended up doing a ridgeline ride - which was pretty cool!

getting there was a different story....

apparently the other CRM riders thought my rear cog was too small ( 42 teeth - they said at least 46.. )

I'm on 14/48 (bought a chain and sprocket set off ebay) and still had to take 4 or 5 links out.

I didnt have a chain splitter - so I just got the local shop to put new rear sprocket on..

for me = 14 /48 - he took a link out - making it 113 links...

and yes it pulls more nicely now! actually can ride in a lazier fashion on road.. havent tried off yet - or wheelies etc as I was fully loaded - bought some new handle bars as well..
