Lots of fog but no rain. Tons of wide open areas, jumps (refer to the state of the license plate), mud, and tight squeezes.

Is that a Michelin on the back?
The going looks very dry.

It's a Pirelli MT43 trials tire. I read a lot of positive reviews on it over on advrider and decided to try it out. I use the bike for commuting also so it rides a lot smoother than the knobby I had on there before. Doesn't do so great in deep mud obviously but it's been fine everywhere else.

When I was competing in a lot of long distance trials I rode with nothing else, it's amazing how quickly you get into the habit of feeling for grip, rather than just twisting the throttle further, looking down the trail further also helps a lot.

Yea I agree, it really does. I've heard this tire does even better when you air it down a bit before off roading. I even bought a nice hand pump to keep in my pack to reinflate for that purpose, but I never air it down because I'm too lazy to pump it back up each time I need to make a highway stretch
