For those of you thinking of doing the Ryedale this year, entries opened up tonight following a week of big rally bikes only entries which opened 7 days ago.

Any how, too late it filled up 2 hours after the entries opend. i've never seen an event fill that quick before, espeecially as its £140. Here's hoping I'm not the only CRM

No results out yet but the bike was fantastic (apart from it siezing). The special test on the Sat was very wet with big deep puddles which to get a fast time you got drenched in. Somehow the cap off the autolube came off (F'k knows how that happened). Water then got in the autolube tank and ended up in the engine so a partial siezure after the last test. I got it sorted out on Sunday when I noticed the cap missing (the bike was VERY muddy). It ran really well on Sunday and I finished the event.

The tests were long and at times difficult for many, especially the big bikes. The Mk3 was fantastic with the engine pulling really well in the mid range and the forks were good, if a tad hard (so megga hard for most) but I think my test times were really good, especially the Sunday where the CRM came into its own. The lads at the end of the special said I had been very entertaining all day as I "was giving it plenty". Some of the Sunday test was used in the Yorkshire enduro last year and I'm sure it was quicker on the CRM than my Gasser 300, so the plan is to use a CRM at the Manchester 17 event "The Brinks" in August - as its an open event and no meega difficult bits.

Fingers crossed for a good result and a top ten overall.

The bikes in bits again and going for a full rebuild as I have a bearing on the way out on the gearbox. I think this CRM is near its end but considering the stick I give it it is little wonder. I've not got another mk3 with a mk2 engine in it so that is the next bike to get a makeover and then trashed to within an inch of its life

There were two other CRM's there, two guys I had not seen before, one on a mk3, the other on an AR.

It played its part. I'm convinced it pulls better in the mid range. Just need moe top speed (280cc conversion?)

Check this out. It is the test from Sunday. The guy on the bike (a KTM 450 full rallye spec bike circa £20k) won overall

Now that looks like some serious fun, where do these events get advertised? Want another CRM'er for company?
Cheers, Andy

You will find everything on enduronews.com the events section has loads of events from enduros, hare & hounds to rallys.

The rally info is in there but also try http://bigbikerallychallenge.co.uk/ and their forum http://rallymoto.co.uk/

The next (last two of the year are the Hafren (hafrendbc.co.uk) on the 30th Sept (I think it is full) and the Cambrian rally on the 2nd weekend of October - wtra.co.uk

The rallys are a good starter event but at the front it is VERY fast

Thanks very much for that, my acu licence came today so I'm almost ready to go :D
We've a great club down here, Portsmouth motorcycle racing club that I've rejoined, they've an enduro in mid September that I'm hoping to have a go at or at least do travelling Marshall.
I may not get to a rally this year but am planning to get into it next year.
Thanks again, Andy

I did the Brinks H&H near Manchester last weekend on my mk2. Despite being an open course with some bogs etc. the temperature light kept coming on so suggest if you are looking at an enduro you fit a fan
