Pikes peak Rally Sprint

Post by Mudfacetony » 30 Apr 2013, 21:04

Round 2 of the UK Rally Challenge in Mid Wales last Sunday.

A grand total of yours truly in the trail class so as long as I finished it was 20 very easy points in the bag. Well, like a true nutter, I gave it my all and got faster each lap (until he last lap when it rained as only it does in Wales) and got 11th overall on the MK2 (more like a bucking bronco than a motorcycle - me thinks a hagon shock is needed)

Some snippets, I was fastest bike under 350cc so all those 350 EC 4T's and 250 2 strokes can go suck! Who needs a new bike? - me!

Well chuffed with the result. The bikes that beat me were a 690 rallye bike (with a 20yr old on it), a 450 rallye bike, a 690 KTM, a 650 XR, then 6 enduro machines on a course that was 90% fire roads so fast as the stuff off a shovel. Roll on the Ryedale Rally for a CRM event

:D +1, that's an outstanding performance on a machine not best suited for the use it's been put too, well done.
