It seems to be the season for stealing bikes.
My was stolen last night. Reg Number L975NMJ. Blue mudguards & seat cover, white frame & tank with yellow side (number) plastics.
For some reason I don't have a photo handy but will post one later.

The good news is that the police called this afternoon and said they found it dumped in a hedge in Swansea. Have been impressed by police.

It has been retrieved and they want to see whether there are any prints on it so bike won't be released until tomorrow at earliest. Seems the steering lock is no more but I'm hopeful the keyed ignition switch still works.

Bad news is one has to pay £150 to get the bike released!! It will be interesting to see whether the insurance company picks up any of the costs.

Now have to sort out a bent garage door and think about how to deter a future occurrence. Pity one can not deploy electric fences like they do in South Africa.

Miscreants are so well protected in this country....

Trouble is they come back.

They would have a shock if they got into my garage, the door mechanism activates a certain shocking experience if not unlocked correctly , cattle fence equipment works anywhere.

Then the alarm comes into play, plus chains on the bikes.

Was your bike not locked up with a chain, seems they just pushed the bike out the garage after twisting the handlebars.

Pudzi, what do the ram barriers look like, sounds interesting to me.

not exactly barriers or tho they could be with a bit of tinkering these are what i have installed in front of my garage door (half a foot away so can open from inside)
