I found some pictures of this bike circa 2011, from when a previous owner was trying to sell it and i thought they would be interesting to see... It looks like the headlight and cowling have been changed at least twice, graphics have been redone, and a few other bits have been removed/changed but its been custom painted and theres no denying its the same ol' CRM i have sitting in my garage

These photos were a game changer because the ebay pictures were shite so i wasnt gonna buy the CRM but then i found these and knew i could get the bike back to the same condition... The calipers probably hadnt been painted long before and even though i liked the red, i thought it was too bright and that if i got them powdercoated in a darker shade they would look more subtle and match the anodised parts better...

Here you go bud hope the pics OK , they're very basic but then I think they were only £7 a side

Re: 1991 MK2 CRM Supermoto Project
Looks like the original crm lever, i already got one of them
I dont know what lever im gonna use yet, i might cut the cb one down and see how it looks or i might buy another cnc lever like whats fitted at the moment but in black to match the renthal clutch lever. Individually theyre only £15 delivered

ive got a small selection of stickers gathering, soo starting with the rear mudguard...

i like the HRC graphics where they were on the old mudguard so ive stickered the new one the same...

still not sure why someone's cut a square out of the original but it looks sh*t and i cant put that on the bike...

Bud like i said its a cut out for the rear light on the early models as the rear light sits abouve the mudguard , take a look at minejompy wrote:Welcome in Sean
That's looking a lot cleaner , you may find the cut out in the rear mudguard is for the original rear light as it sits above the mudguard rather than below . A very good place for O.E.M parts & info is Leisure Trail but for those non O.E.M upgrades and aftermarket parts like bearings you can have a look around

When you take the rear light off it leaves the square hole like on yours
Re: 1991 MK2 CRM Supermoto Project
Have you taken the light cluster off yours?
Im not saying that your wrong because it makes obvious sense but the cut-out lines are all jagged like its been cut out with a hacksaw, which led me to think its a bodge job rather than a factory design. Maybe because it was covered anyway it was just made Like that... The other strange thing is that it must of been from a different model, its a very slightly different size and shape to the CRM one i bought, also the CRM plastics only came in red and white, not black so gawd knows
Anyway, it looks crap with a tail tidy and the mudguard itself has scratches and gouges all over it so i couldnt not change it. The new one came from a non road legal bike so its nice and clean with no cut-outs or unnecessary holes

There are no original black mudguards. In fact there are no other colours available from Honda. UFO make replicas for CR 250 1989 in black, red and white. These need to have bit cut out to fit the original back lights.
Re: 1991 MK2 CRM Supermoto Project
nice one, that explains it. Probably why it doesnt fit as well as an original part either. Im guessing that all the plastics on my bike were UFO and bought at the same time. With possible exception of the airbox covers because they have been painted and were originally white, same goes for the petrol tank. The front headlight cowling and mudguard look aftermarket rather than a copy of the originalknackeredMk1 wrote:There are no original black mudguards. Re: 1991 MK2 CRM Supermoto Project
I used UFO plastics for the mudguards and radiator shrouds on my rebuilds. They are very true to the originals.

Fenders are clean and ready to go back on. They got some scratches that i couldnt remove and the stickers clearly arent original but still good condition for 24yrs old

My now matching Tom Sykes rep helmet

probably the closest thing to a personalised plate without spending 3k+

I bought some passenger pegs off ebay cos the other half wants lifts sometimes and i haven't seen them for sale often
