Well, at the moment its needs a lot of dents pulling out, the brakes attatching (I have got the spacers made) and a bit of a repaint or better yet, some new plastics, but I've started now so I'm happy at least :)
(And yes, I threw the back wheel on in a hurry for the piccie, I know its in back-to-front!).

Ive been having too much fun on the 500 to get the CRM done quickly :)

Been road registered for 2 weeks now (what a pain that was!) and, even with a straight-through pipe, the police havnt actually taken an interest yet! (jinxed myself now :{ )

Very nice,

What wheels and brakes have you used?

Can you post a close up phot of your Front Brake caliper mount of the 250 and 500 please?

All the best

Simon

Your CRM looks very Jacked up at the back, have you modified something?
I would think jacking it up that much may ruin the handling?

From my bad memory (had them a long time!) I think the wheels etc. were as follows:
Front wheel - Fazer 600, 1998 model with fz750 master cylinder and zx9rB1 brake caliper and homemade relocation bracket, came off my excessively ugly silly project motoard of years ago: http://www.kevindyson.f2s.com/cr600.jpg
Sadly exploded half way down the local bypass :'(

Rear wheel is a Cagiva Mito, bearings changed but with original crm caliper etc.. just had to space out the disk about 10mm to fit properly.

It has the shock from my old cr500 (which duly turned into my ugly project bike after a crash), and as far as I can tell, the handlings at least as good as it used to be, if not better?!? hard to say really.. :)

Also, as a note, the front caliper/wheel/disk/s[acers etc.. etc.. are all intercahngeable from the crm250 to the (1987) cr500, handy for MOT's :)
I'll sort some piccies out later tommorow, I can't say theyll be pretty though! I have the (barely) skills to make brackets etc.. but little patience for making pretty :) hehe

For anyone else doing conversions on the cheap, its so far always been possible to jam pretty much any wheel/brakes into any swingarm given the right friends/experience and I've messed about with almost every bike I've owned so far, lol.
