aussie AR motard

Post by orangeflash » 02 Nov 2012, 13:24

ok decided to do a motard conversion on my AR using CBR 250 RR wheels
rear is dead easy pretty much bolt on

front is a bit more involved as the crm axle is 17mm while the CBR has 20mm axle
could not find bearings to convert to 17mm so had some new spacers machined up to suit

so now bolts up with the original axle

waiting on rotor and caliper adapter to fit 320mm foating flat disc of a gsxr
is this a common conversion in the uk
what tyres do you guys use i have 150/60/17 rear and a 110/70/17 front
have gone for 40 t rear sprocket and 14 t front sprocket best guess for around town gearing
any advice or problems you guys have seen in the past

The rear is bolt on? Wow, I was expecting that I'd need to machine hubs and whatnot. Got any updates on the front brake? I was just gonna adapt the CRM caliper to the CBR250RR rotor with a custom made spacer/adapter.
