Hi fae Scotlandshire
Hi fae Scotlandshire
Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get a Crm asap. I have been looking for 6 weeks now but the nearest one to come up is a 300 mile round trip away. I want one to use to work and getting off road again. At the moment I'm using my Tuono everyday but it's a bit much in the snow and ice
.
Cheers fae John

Re: Hi fae Scotlandshire
Probably the thick end of £500 for a bottom end split and rebuild.
It might be worth a look and a listen, powervalves can rattle a fair bit.
Feel for any end float on the alternator.

Cheers for the advice, the bike is 300 miles away and would have been delivered unseen. There will be something nearer home at some point lol

Don't rule out a well cared for earlier MK's. AR are known to have some inherent and expensive Achilles heels.
Have a bone up in the search area.

Re: Hi fae Scotlandshire
I've only got about 1500-1600 for a bike so it won't be an AR Mike. A couple have come up on evilbay but are south of London, I'm happy to wait and get a good one though

Well it is with a sadness that I have to admit that I haven't managed to get a CRM. I did pick up a TTR 250 as I needed something for work. It's a nice wee bike to ride if a bit dull. Thanks for all your advice and comments. Igingell it would be good tae go oot for a batter oan the dirt but not sure if I could keep up

Re: Hi fae Scotlandshire
Don't be too disappointed, quite an underrated bike is the 250, no rads to bust either. I have it's big brother the TTR600RE.
Check out the totally TTR site that Brian runs down in Devon, lots of goodies available.
It's a shame they didn't make an in-between-er model of 400/450cc with the electric boot and a kicker.
