ive just bought a 1989 crm 250R it runs great and is in very good condition, but its seems restricted or something. It gets to 70mph and that is it won't go now more but the engine doesnt sound like its over revving at all. It doesn't seem to hit a powerband either though Ive checked the r.c vavle and thats all lined up correctly? please help thanks. rad

Look in the Airbox, there is a sleeve in there that restricts airflow into the engine, remove this, it should rev better

hi,did you buy it of ebay. Also you say the rc valve is lined up ok.you need to check this properly with engine running, check it moves when you rev the bike and that its not just flapping around.it sounds to me as though the valve isn,t working as it should.if not check cables are ok
