Newbie with Mk1 in pieces
Hi, from the title you will know I am at the start of a mission to build a CRM 'better and stronger than before'. (That shows my age).
I have a Mk1 in pieces all over my garage floor - all the bits are there but not in the condition I would like. I think it's going to take at least 8 months to get it back together.
Some history - I bought a brand new Mk1 back in 1990 when CRMs were unheard of. Spares were hard to come by so I learnt an intimate knowledge of Honda CRs and MTXs catalogues. I changed the front forks to 1989 CR125 and had an Ohlins rear shock made. I also had Stan Stephens do an 'enduro' tune but didn't change the pipes because there were no alternatives around then.
I plan to turn the pile of junk in my garage into an improved version of my old bike but it will take a lot of work.
Does anyone have a spare subfrane...............?
