£700 is a good price but look at things like the chain and sprockets are they in good condition? Are they oiled or are they rusty? Are the levers straight? Things like that will tell you if it has been looked after or abused.
If it looks abused walk away.

do the usual checks for play in the swingarm, rear suspension, headstock and wheel bearings, check the state of chain and sprockets as knackered says, check theres no oil leaking from the front forks also check the rear shock damping is ok
get a general idea of overall condition(if it looks like its been looked after,it generally has!),then give it a spin if it rides nice and the motor runs well, buy the fecker

As Knackered and Slider has said. If it's a good un for £700, it's a good deal
