Hi from Japan

Hi there. I live on Okinawa, the southern-most island of Japan. My ride is a plated MK2 CRM250. Mods are only a FMF pipe, muffler, and Twin Air air filter. I have another identical bike that's in pieces. I'm thinking about changing it over to supermoto.

Probably 2/3 of the island is jungle, and I do a lot of riding. Just cruise up north until you see a good looking trail or river bed and hit it.

Here's a smaple video I shot a while back. Mostly steep hill climb, but the 135 degree angle camera doesn't do a good job of showing it.

No, I'm a Yank. I came here almost 30 years ago as a kid and have lived here ever since. I own a high performance car business (MJR Performance aka Motorworx...). I have a few English friends here, though :-)

Welcome! the most important question wheelright should have asked is whether you speak/read Japanese!?! ;)

:D Hi Ooqra, welcome to the site, Some awesome riding terrain you have there.
CRMs still the tool for the job though.
Do you always ride alone? I often as not do, but that,s here in the ultra sanitised U.K.
The MK2 certainly sounds sweet as well.

I speak Japanese fluently, but my reading and writing is only passable.

I almost always ride alone... There's a big motocross crowd here, but not many people into trail riding on plated bikes. It's lonely, but I have a good time...

I have no problem picking up new parts and shipping them for people, but the auctions are a no-go. Too much trouble on the Yahoo-Japan auctions not getting what you thought you were getting, and then I'm stuck in the middle.

I shot that video to test the new camera. The goggle mount is horrible because it lets the camera flop around. It's ridgid mounted now and way better.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Enjoy your ride. 8-)
