hi i have a 1991 crm for off road. but i realy want a road legal 1. but i just cant decide what to get i realy want an ar but it looks the same as the mk3 to me whats best? or should i get a mk2 coz thare cheeper? pleaze help.

tricky one picking a bike for someone else , what are you looking to use it for whats your budget and can the one youve got be put back on the road ?

Mk2s are good for off road cos it dont matter too much what they look like. But on road its nice to have somethin that looks pretty.

Id love a mk3 for the road but just cant afford. ARs are lovely but i personally wouldnt spend the extra on them, when like you say, theyre the same in looks to a mk3.

Mk3 - More tunable, more reliable and same looks.

hi thanks for the replys. no the crm i have is in a verry bad way it would cost over £800 to just put on the road and still be very tatty at best. i had to have work done to make it safe to ride even off road. i think my price range is bot £1400 i may go up to 2000 if i have to sell my dt200r but i dont realy want to do that if possible. i think i just look for mk2/3 then and leave the ar alone. thanks all.

took me 2 years to find it and it was the best I saw
