Hi there Dan,

that is a minter...... I would be paranoid riding the thing though especially in the UK's shitty weather conditions. That would have to be a sunny Sunday machine me thinks.

Welcome mate.

Thanks guys, the dep exhaust isn't looking quite so shiny any more, i love the bike, so much fun on the twisty roads.
Just bought a '69 Triumph Bonneville T120R, waiting for some good weather to take them out!

Random question for everyone - since i have had the bike i have never been able to get the lock to open/close on the back of the bike (think its a helmet lock).
I have both original honda keys yet the lock is solid, have even tried squirting with gt85.

Did honda use a separate key from the ignition - for this lock?

these locks and similar fitted to other hondas are all the same.......i usually soak them in wd40,rockeze or good old diesel, paraffin or even white spirit. then keep trying them at random.they open eventually.then a good and regular dollop of "gold grease"usually keeps them working.
it seems that the alloy body and plated chrome shaft do not make the best of bed fellows. :o
mk1... with mk2.2 engine,running mk1 electrics,mk1 carb on standard mk1 jetting + settings.dep front pipe.jap alloy can of unknown make. twinair filter on plastic cage.l/h mk1 rad.r/h mk2 (extra coolant takeoff on 2.2 head)
xr650 wheels .gritty front,mitas rear

Yeah it's my mothers elf, not a bad example, previous to us it was family owned for all it's life by an old lady who passed it on to her grandson when she died.

I prefer the mini my self but mums happy with it
