Re: Hi from Russia :)
Yeah, sure. Despite I made few posts on this forum already, and some members may be aware of my presence a little, I didn't introduce myself.
I live in Vladivostok, Russian city on a border with Japan. Yes, it does mean 99% of vehicles here from domestic Japan market (except buses, they korean) mostly (99%) w/o vin. Most of people change cars very frequently, needless to say how frequently they change bikes here - longest hold period once in season. Strange thing I'm not one of them.
First I bought Honda Dio a 50cc scooter for my job, after 300kms I realized, that wheels too small for road pits in my town, and I need more serious thing for this. As a mountain biker (owner of second Karpiel Armageddon (- google it!) in Russia) I turn my look in enduro section. Most popular 250cc motorcycles XR and TTR, I was aim at TTR, but suddenly notice old-cheap-2t-cool-looking enduro bike, it was Crm 250 mk2. And I bought one for 3000$ instead of TTR/XR soon. http://bikepics.com/pictures/2256504/
Well, I was surprised how 2t engine met my riding style! (Actually I wanted to try 2t after Dio scooter) 2 stroke definitely appeared my thing! After two months and ~200kms of riding some bastards stole my bike. =\
As an newly enduro addicted person I eager to get another MX in short period of time, started to get any job I can get. Finally I collected necessary 3 thousand bucks and stand in front of hard choice again: CRM or something-new-to-me-250cc-4t? In the end I went to neighbor town for Crm 250 mk3.
That's what I own now.

I'm going to lick it up and rebuild before next season, but not so heavy as it did knackered though.
Most important thing in whole story, that I stick to this bike seriously, I like fellow forumers to get me serious and help me as well with something I don't know so far.
P.S. All this time I own another masterpiece of machinery - Yamaha FZX 750 '92.

Hi Banz, welcome, I'm also MK3 owner.

glad you went for the 2smoker, 250 4 plodders are exactly that, got myself an XT 600 to run around on whilst rebuilding my CRM, all I can say is shizer, the 250 2t would smoke it in 4th gear lol :))))))) welcome to the wonderful world of enduro...

Hi BaNZ, we now have Enduro style bikes dissapearing in the dead of night at an epedmic rate in this country.BaNZ wrote:Yup, Mike, 3000 usd, but I really didn't catch what you mean.

The general consensus is that they go into holding shipping containers until they full, then the whole container is shipped abroad, never for the bikes to resurface again, well not in this counrty anyway.
Getting insurance cover in some areas of this country is now getting virtually impossible.
