Impulse brought a mk2 crm 250 last night an thought I would find a place to chat about it as I have never owned an off road bike. So here I am. My first plan is to strip and clean the machine because it's looking abused at the mo. has a full mOT but just needs a tickle. Riding it home was strange with it having knobbly tyres but I will have to get used to it. So what the best things for me to check etc whilst I have it in bits. I want to get off roading with it but not until I know it reliable and I can corner with out my bum burping lol.

Hi welcome, if you're stripping the old girl down, the swinging arm bolt is worth looking up in the search area they have been known to be a little recalcitrant to being moved , but there are many words of wisdom to be gleaned.
There is a wealth of knowledge just waiting to be explored.

today I got talking to a spray painter about having my frame powder coated as I want it to look nice and he's talked me out of it for a while whilst I learn to ride it and as he is a regular attender to some green lanes he will help me out. I didn't even know he had a bike I've known him 5 years lol

Were out this sunday but please dont say you will come then decide there is a good advert on tv you like to watch etc etc
