New (old) bike CRM250 MK3 1994

Hi,

My son bought a CRM 250 MK3 about a couple of months ago - originally had a Yam DT125 which he sold when he passed his test and went to a Suzuki DRZ 400 SM and now wants to come back to a bigger 2-Stroke . I'll try to add a picture if I can work out how to - techno fear :o

It was bought as a bit of a project!!!! and I think it will be a while before it starts coming back in one piece - still with loads of time and even more money - what else are Dad's for? :D

Trying to get some parts together before we fully rip it down to get frame powder coated and start the proper task of rebuilding it.

Everything we touch as it get stripped seems to break, be bodged or require attention to sort out - ah the joys of working on a used and abused machine - haven't got to swing arm pin or suspension linkage - can't wait from what I read on the forum

Found leisure trail very helpful for parts and also suggestions on where to obtain items like graphics at DangerUK - who offered a brialliant service.

My son's deepest wish is to put super motard wheels on, he's not that bothered about the big discs, stuggling to find a supplier for a set of 17" rims as the spoke combo seems unsual at 36 front/32 rear - has anyone got any suggestions?

Welcome moleboy

About 17", honda fmx 650 rims, spokes and niples fits perfect to crm 250 hubs, they are cheep and looks great

Hi guys,

Thanks for info and words of wisdom. I'll keep and eye on parts coming up for sale as I think I'll be in the market for a few!!

I'll get some pictures on when I can fathom out how to.

Cheers,

David
