Re: my tm300 racing mx
im after an rm 250, if you noticed the vid on youtube has been cut quite a bit, theres a few clips of me getting thrown about and dragged about, after being used to a crm 250 mk2 the tm300 has a shed load more power, when the power band kicks in you get thrown backwards and even if you try and grip with your legs you can feel yourself sliding down the seat, im off again this weekend to see if i can do any better but if i cant handle it theres no point trying to kill myself, ive only got 6 months before i get a chance to try for the amatuer motocross with manchester xtreme and it wont look great if i cant ride my bike properly even though the tm is a proper motocross ready bike, it comes out of the factory fully race mx equipped, i can honestly say ive never been on a bike like it, it just has one speed, extremely fast!

Re: my tm300 racing mx
If you are going for proper MX you need to get some work in on your riding style. If you can afford it try doing some of the professional courses. I did one with Dave Watson when I had my first CRM back in 1990. It was useful even though I was only doing the occasional enduro.

Re: my tm300 racing mx
there is a proper mx track further down but there was sods chance of me getting on it with that bloody monster, youre right about the riding style, i couldnt loosen up though for 2 reasons, 1 the fooking thing tried to throw me off more times than i care to remember and 2 ive still got a hole in me nuts thanks to that dodgy vasectomy which im back at the docs for this friday so i was very wary of getting seat or tank slapped, its why i think i would be better with a 250, i used to do amatuer mx many moons ago which is one of the reasons owen at manchester xtreme wants me to get back up to scratch and join his team as i was pretty good in my day, i used my crm on the same tracks mate and flew round but i needed a good mx bike to join the teams

Sorry if you thought I is dissin' your stylee but I is not. Honest Man
I find it is always best to learn from someone who knows so if you only have 6 months to get on it then get the best help you can
. Sounds like you have got it planned out anyway. Good luck

Re: my tm300 racing mx
Ill be honest with you mate I did amateur morocross when i was 19-20 I started with a 2001 kx125 then up graded to a 2002 cr250 then stopped and sold it, but brought another 2003 cr250 last year then sold that to buy a house but if it wasn't for that I would still have it as it was an amazing bike with loads of torque and it was fantastic to ride I'm only 9 stone and It was well controllable honestly I would seriously look into getting one you will not be disappointed!
Plus your keeping it real with Honda
you can't go wrong
