Re: My CRM 250 MK2 - Condition at time of purchase
General condition is excellent.
DEP pipe has no dents and little rusting, frame could do with a few touch ups. Sprockets, Renthal 13/46 are good as is the chain.
I knew from purchase that the dreaded swing arm bearings/bushes etc need changing.
Cold starting at the start of a day can take several to a dozen kicks, am going to investigate this on the weekend. However kicks up first time, every time thereafter even if the engine has gone cold during that day.
All in all am well pleased with the purchase, cant wait to get her prepped for off road use.

Check out the technique my son, it usually works.
"Cold starting at the start of a day can take several to a dozen kicks, am going to investigate this on the weekend. However kicks up first time, every time thereafter even if the engine has gone cold during that day."
Also a clean/ replacement of the pilot jet sounds in order.
Looks good though.

Nice buy fabio- a clean bike that hasn't been messed about with. Probably needs a good clean out and general overhaul. Have you checked the compression??

Hi all there doesnt seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment
Anyway I thought I would keep you updated on how its going: - Managed to spend a bit of time on the bike on sunday, have changed the oil, checked the filter, generally cleaned the bike. Have changed the hand grips and added bark busters. I have also removed the front sprocket cover and rear plastic chain guard.
Loads more to do including the dreaded swing arm bearings
