Bit of a project...

Post by twistednuts » 17 Mar 2012, 12:26

I know its not a crm, but heres a little project i bought for the crack.

Its a none runner, kicks over fine with plenty of compression, just no spark. Hoping its just a loose wire or somet

It starts!! Fired up for a short while, then ran out of petrol. Think it was just a loose wire earthin out on the frame.

Discovered missin bits of crankcase where magneto cover bolts on  Also found half of silencer has rubbed away on wheel, big hole in it

Very happy it runs though, sounds fantastic

Thats exactly what my brother said. It is all part of the master plan.

Decent crms dont come cheap so gotta build up the funds somehow

They might be great fun when theyre running, but so far this bike has turned into a bit of a bugger.

Some tinker welded the kick start on instead of repairing it properly. Now the weld has broke an the darn thing just spins round. Seems to spark intermittantly too. Cleaned carb an all that seems fine, its soaking the plug so theres an electrical gremlin claiming squatters rights in there somewhere.

Think its gonna be a long term project

Welded kickstarter usually means burnt and leaking seal too.

Would make me feel bad selling it like that.
