The bike is now completed. Gearbox oil drained and refilled. Clutch was stuck, clutch freed and bike pushed outside for running.

Fuel on, kick, kick, kick.....................kick, kick, kick..................30 times at least and no joy, ignition on and funny enough started 1st kick, how odd.

Anyway, as the 4 before it runs so quiet with no knocks, rattles or rumbles, everything works as it should including sidestand switch etc. 5 minutes warming up checking thermostat and AR valve works etc, gearbox oil then changed for 2nd time.

All the bikes have been put to as standard as possible, with indicators, side stand switches etc, if they are removed in the future by the next owners at least they can put the parts in a bag. Rear footrests have not been fitted as they would foul the hydraulic rear brake light switches.

Now to get the IT175J rebored and finished next week, its a shame as its only done 250 miles but has corrosion on bore requiring a rebore to maximum oversize. Pistons not available new so had to again use Ebay USA.

Wow, looks very smart. Even if I had the money I would not buy it, it would be a shame to have it abused in my hands (as it no doubt would).

If my practical/functional rebuild is half as good I will be pleased.

The carbon clutch cover may well come back on the radar though

It diiiiiiiidddddd..... but that photo was when I bought it in fantastic condition, however after 4 years of use and abuse she was looking rather sorry and tatty, and I'm glad Mark spent the time and money on her, even though I think the only thing remaining from my actual bike is the chassis!!
