Team Mudfae Mk2 rebuild

Post by Mudfacetony » 07 Mar 2014, 19:34

Finally completed my mk2 rebuild and it has gone white / red from the original blue / white. Not a perfect rebuild but fine for UK rallys.

The mods you can't see are disconnecting the balance shaft and suspension changes. The front has my old mk3 forks with new, stiffer springs and the rear is a hagon shock. The bike sits about 25mm higher front and back and is a lot stiffer than it was before the rebuild (the front would bottom out at the mere sight of a bump - well, at 60 mph, and the rear was so soft, it would bottom out as well).

Hopefully some good news on performance after this weekends Brechfa Rally

Looking good, don't go out in the snow though 8-]].

Comment, the front brake hose looks a little vulnerable.
I used to slide a length of gas welding rod down inside the protective sleeve of a standard hose, but that's not an option on the hose you have on there.
Would some of that cable tidy, coiled stuff do the job, if you taped it up after fitting it?

Probably Mike. It is a blue line so needs replacing (along with the rear which is also blue). It will do for the shake down event
