Re: CRM-250 MK2 - In Australia
Here's a few more pics of the bike once I finished it.

The BRM stickers are leftover from my karting days, I just liked the colour and that the letters are very similar to CRM.

This is a custom sprocket guard I fabricated from sheet aluminium.

The chain slider was worn down to the metal backing so I adapted one for a YZ-125. It just needed a few tapped holes in the swingarm and the stepped washers.

The original chain guard was missing and one of the brackets broke of so I fabricated a new one (required for registration) from sheet aluminium and added the lightly dimpled holes.

Here's a pick of the custom rear tail assembly. Made from sheet and angle aluminium. Please excuse the miss matched indicators and gouge on the bottom left of the plate. I took it well past it's balance one time.
The tail/brake light is an LED unit from evilBay but is "C" marked and has a clear section underneath so it can illuminate the licence plate. It was all designed to meet the ADR requirements for registration.

Hi Speeddevice,
I have a mark II CRM and just started pulling the bike down with a view to complete rebuild. Can I contact you re your experience in your rebuild if you still have the CRM. Looks a daunting task at the beginning but worth it I am sure .

Sorry for the late reply, I tried to send a PM a while back but it must have been lost in the system. Yes, it will be OK to contact me about building the CRM.
Thanks for the compliment jompy, I've found the new cover to be quite durable.jompy wrote:Made a really nice job of that buddy & i really like the front sprocket cover

Re: CRM-250 MK2 - In Australia
Got around to changing the front wheel bearings the other week.
The seals weren't too bad but I took down the dims so I they can be replaced next time.
The seals were;
24 x 37 x 7 = TC12456,
41 x 50 x 5 = ??
One bearing was OK but the second felt rough.

They were the 6003-2RS ( RS = rubber seals) with the seal on the inside removed, as you can see the grease looked quite dirty and contaminated from rust.
I put new 6003ZZ (ZZ = metal seal) bearings in because that is what I had available and the Outer lip seals will be able to keep the water and dirt out.

Make sure to put the spacer in between the bearings,

This is the special washer with two tangs that engage the speedo drive.

The lip seal holds it in place when it is installed.

Hi davecee92,
I had the graphics printed up locally in Sydney. A friend of mine has a printing business, he should still have the files if you wanted some printed up. Let me know if you want to find out more.
