Sidestand Switch Mod.

It is quite common for the sidestand switch to become faulty and cause starting problems. A lot of owners have removed the switch from the bike but you a have to short the connection:

On the sidestand switch there are 3 wires in a green connector block just above the carb.
Yellow with blue tracer, this wire is the switch wire for the warning light.
Green with white tracer, this wire is from the CDI & must go to earth for the engine to run.
Green wire, this wire is the earth.

To remove the switch you need to connect the green wire with white chaser to the solid green wire. You can do this by just soldering a wire across, or using a wire with two female ends inside the connector block. Then seal with insulation tape.

If you want to remove the block completely then you must connect the wires just the same.
