New to CRMs looking to buy Mk1

Hello All.
New on here but far from new to bikes.
I'm looking at a Mk1 soon, tested but rear light lense and an indicator lenses missing. Been advertised on ebay twice very recently for £1500 start but he's not had a bite.
Not worth that money? Obviously it's worth what someone will pay and seems no one wants to pay £1500.

Hi and welcome.
As you know, a MK1 is getting on a bit, so I'd suggest having a good look through the technical forum for issues that are a bit specific to CRMs rather than just to older off road bikes...The swinging arm axle can seize if not greased and that can be a nightmare to shift...Engine growling can be expensive as there is a balance shaft ticked away in there too. Chassis bearings and seals are all pretty standard so steering head and wheel bearings aren't a big issue but some plastics can be hard to find if you want original. There is lots of info on what bits will fit from other Honda's, like footpegs, gear lever, kick-start etc so you can be pretty well informed before you decide .
Regards kc

Thanks for you time replying.
I've had a read up, I learnt my lesson on a customers DT 125 swing arm...
The one I'm considering has the balance shaft removed already but supplied. I may well replace it.
Thanks again

Hi, I don't know about your stature but, the MK1's are a little smaller in their overall dimensions. Some people end up having to fit bar risers to aleviate back aches.
