Rebuilt and going strong!!!
Hi again,
Just finished the rebuild on my mark 2,
the wossner oversize piston went straight in (as it should), thankfully i checked th rc valve before sealing it all up as it was going to foul on the piston, which i'm sure would not be pretty!!
Anyway, i filed it down and reassembled the motor, changed the oil and added fresh coolant.
Second kick it fired up and idled straight away!!
After putting around for a couple of hours, i decided to open the throttle in first and needless to say, i was quite impressed. the front wheel became airborne quite easily.
I did disconnect the oil pump and am now premixing the fuel at 40:1, i'm pretty sure the pump is what caused the first seizure.
I also grabbed a new sticker kit to tidy it up a bit, looks a treat now.
Looking forward to some really good rides now, starting with a big one this weekend, hopefuly all goes well!

Re: Rebuilt and going strong!!!
hey sarge, why dont you replace the two stroke tube that leads from the pump to the carb with a clear tube, that way you can see if the oil is geting to the carb or not.

Re: Rebuilt and going strong!!!
I've already disconnected the pump, seems to run really well.......
unfortunately i'm not. I went riding on the weekend and flipped it, hyper-extending my knee.
good news i suppose is that there is no damage to the bike!!
And i can say that it is running really hard.
Looks like it'l be a couple of weeks before i get back on.
