hi, how do you get the caliper off with out taking out the wheel ? thanks eddie

Hi Eddie, to the best of my knowledge, that's not possible, as, the carrier has the axle passing through it.
It is possible with care, to remove the old pads, but, watch carefully the spring clips[ I always mark the top with a felt pen :roll: ], then, use a clamp, to push the piston back in, remembering to check the fluid level.

Even though it doesnt look possible, it is.

Take out the upper right allen bolt, pull the caliper backwards, then pull sideways. Im almost certain ive done it, just had a look at the bike. It should seperate from the carrier which mike mentioned, whilst still on the bike.

thanks for that, that is what i was thinking, just put a new sprocket kit and chain on and set it all up,

so now i will have to undo it all again, i want to give the caliper a good clean and greesing up , so it would be easyer off, thanks for your help,
