Engine Number Location

Post by steptoe » 02 Feb 2011, 20:33

After searching for some time, I bought a 1999 CRM250AR last week. As a trusting person I bought the bike from someone who claims the bike is legit but the logbook has gone walk about. The frame number matched the MOT cert so off I went. I have since payed £25.00 for a log book in my name and patiently await its delivery. (6 weeks they reckon)
In the meantime I would like to find the engine number, I have been told to look behind the kickstart but I can not locate it. Can someone please give me the exact location and a photo of its location PLEASE.
It would give me big piece of mind if I were to find it.
Thanks:>

AR engine number is just behind the kickstart on a plate kind of trapped behind the engine cover and engine. Look in between the very rear of the engine and the frame and you will see it...hopefully....if there is one...
