I bought some of those cheapies, so will post up pics when they turn up :)

thanks for finding it for me, they are black so should match my frame nicely!

got mine today.

not bad overall, nice and chunky which makes me a little more confident because they are made from cheap chinese diecast.

aesthetics, not bad for 10 bucks, they are a little rough around the edges but from a distance they look good.
they seem to have a thin coat of dark grey powdercoat which is nice.

fitment, they fowl slightly on the frame which prevents them from sitting perfectly flat, but a quick go with a file would easily fix that.

Im happy how they are, facing up by a couple degrees, so will just leave them for now.

overall, not bad for 10bucks...

@jeram

same ones i got last year and by the sound of of it same issues although minor.
a quick whiz on the grinder and with dremel got them fitting nice and flat.
agrees re the paint. i just stripped them soon afterwards as started to surface rust and gave them a rattle tin finish..so far so good.

plasti dip i have never tried...but let me know how it goes.

they used to let repair and make bike parts in school many many years ago.....and let us plastic coat bits too.
if they weren't up to scratch we had to remake them over until they were, even though we were doing i our lunch breaks.lol

don't suppose kids get to use lathes, milling machines, welding kit,or cut sheet metal on band saws etc etc nowadays.lol

the plasti-dip seems like a go because if you dont like the finish, you cut it wish a razor and peel it off :)

I found a KTM 525 motard painted in black plasti-dip....looked great!
it gave me all kinds of crazy ideas, especially because if it doesn't work you just peel it off.
