need help insuring my crm250

brought a crm 250 1992 plate imported in 1998 and when i put the reg in to get insurence it comes up as a xlr250 tryed another reg from ebay an it does the same is that normal?

Try M.C.E., they do list CRM as a "grey" parallel import.
It might be worth asking Leisure Trail, [ who imported most CRMs] if they have data base of registrations.

thanks comes up as crm from mce but its £100 more expensive will try ringing round an try to find out y some insurence companys think its an xlr

I've had the same problem with a bike before, just do the quote as usuall then ring them up to change it over the phone, paying £250 for mine this way (I'm 19). I think its with a place called scooters and bikes direct? One of the only places who didn't raise the price when told it is imported.

I had my gsxr400 import insured with H&R insurance, i swapped the policy over to my CRM with no hassle. I told them it was an import. I was paying £220 to insure my 400 with mods declared, and the CRM only cost £180.
