thinking about upgrading the reed block to either rad or V force on my mk2, im wondering what the increase is like?

I have a Boyesen Rad Valve and it does improve throttle response - that much I've noticed. Power results I can't tell but all the tests say so. Boyesen make a CRM (not AR) specific valve.

Jonorrow has a V Force set up. It needs you to cut the rubber extension off the inlet to the crank from the carb so that the front of the V Force fits up against it (easy to do).

From what I've read about the systems and comparisons the V Force gives more top end but the Rad Valve is better for low/mid. Both apparently give you more power across the range.

Many people (myself included) look to make engine improvements to increase throttle response, bottom end power..... yes?

Made so much difference to the performance, and made hill climbs etc much easier, nice crisp sharp throttle, and you don't have to pull your wrist all the way back into an uncomfortable position to get high revs quickly, for example on very steep climbs!!

They do make a big difference though, and you can change the rotors really quickly if needs be.

100 pound is very easily justified if theres increase not to mention they look nice

do they have to be ordered from usa? looks like shes getting a 21st birthday present as well as a good ride lol

No that's the UK. They do blingey ones for a bit more money, you don't have to buy the fitting kit, so can get just the throttle for about £80. I can justify the money for the benefits it brings. Check www.venhill.co.uk

The only downside is the ferrules are very thin and weak, managed to break mine already. May buy some more and put supports between them. Other than that, I wondered if say a CRF or KTM push pull throttle would fit if you made some cables up? Probably be cheaper.

thought id bump this up as i now have a boyesen rad valve fitted and my honest opinion is wow id advise anyone to fit one power delivery is grin factor 10/10 money well spent is a understatement boyesen are god

my local mx shop in coventry called agr racing managed to get me one, it wasn't cheap £170 but im more than happy with the risk taken.
I got a cr250 86-98 one and slightly modded it for the two stroke pipe (that no longer requires long nose pliers to reattach

)

I'm after some rad valves for my 91 mk2, I'm a little confused on where I can get one of these in my hands. Even tryed contacting boyesen but no reply of yet... And the cr ones only seem to start in 98 or so?? PLEASE HELP!!! (And what did you modify to get the cr 250 one to fit??) PLEASE HELP THIS AUSSIE OUT

details are in post above yours pal all i had to do was drill a little hole for the two stroke feed and tap the copper pipe through and trim it down slightly very simple. I had to go through this method as i couldn't source a crm one any good motocross shop should be able to get one

Hey guys I thought I'd let you know that I have been in contact with Boyeson in USA via email, and they can supply a RAD02SJ rad valve for a CRM 250, it cost roughly $170US plus postage. ( kind of annoyed as I've jumped the gun and already bought a cr 250 96-98 rad valve and have to drill it, no big deal just Murphy's law) but seems impossible to find them anywhere else or I'm not looking hard enough.
