New CRM or CRF rebranded?

Post by clint » 20 Jun 2013, 19:01

Hi all,

Just came across this

http://www.hm-moto.ro/produse/supermoto ... 500-x.html

Can't seem to find it on any English site just European ones. What do you reckon? New CRM or just a CRF 450 with new clothes , new shoes & 50 more cc's?

They do it in 50, 125, 450 and this 500

Damn nice looking bike but I do suspect it's nothing more than a slightly modified CRF

Clint

+1 Trading on the name, without the heritage.

Honda Italia make them. Slightly modified CRFs as mentioned above. They were responsible for the two stroke CRM125 and took the engine out of an NSR............

The more I look at pictures of this bike the less I care what it is called and the more I want one!!! Nice one for that link & HM/CRM history I tried and tried to find more info on this bike but couldn't.

I think it's well worthy of carrying the CRM label. If they remade the CRM I think it would be very similar to the CRF. Well, as close to a CRF as my MK2 is to a late 80's CR :)

I think I've just had "an accident" looking at that bike.... Is that a CRM engine in one of the last CR frames? That would be one amazing combination.

That is amazing. Without a shadow of a doubt the best enduro/road going motorcross bike I have ever seen in my entire life. I am seriously in awe of that machine and the engineering that went into making it happen.

Dare I say it's perfect. Honda should read that thread and then put the bike into production.

I've just emailed a link to the build to about 20 mates!!!!

There is a company in Japan that does AR motors fitted to CR aluminium chassis using a lot of new parts but they are very expensive and I can't find the link  .

That's exactly what inspired me when I saw that on here a while back.

Thank you very much clint, I wouldn't say perfect haha but it's now exactly as I wanted and imagined. Doesn't look anything like the finished photos as it's been ridden lots since, but I knew this and that's why I took so many photos.

Cheers.

PS I've heard a rumour that honda are going to produce a range of two stroke enduro machines. We will see.
